About this Guide
This CLI guide provides information about the Dell Networking operating system (OS) command-line interface (CLI) supported on a C9010
console to configure a C9010 switch, C1048P, N20xx, and N30xx port extenders. The C9010 switch is also referred to as network director
or control bridge. The port extenders are also referred to as rapid access nodes.
This book also includes information about the protocols and features supported in the Dell Networking OS on the C9000 switch.

This book is intended as a reference guide for CLI commands in the Dell Networking OS running on the C9000, with detailed syntax
statements, usage information and sample output.
NOTE: For more information about when to use the CLI commands, see the
C9000 Configuration Guide
for your system.
Audience
This book is intended for system administrators who are responsible for configuring or maintaining networks. This guide assumes that you
are knowledgeable in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
Conventions
This book uses the following conventions to describe command syntax.
Keyword
Keywords are in Courier and must be entered in the CLI as listed.
parameter
Parameters are in italics and require a number or word to be entered in the CLI.
{X} Keywords and parameters within braces must be entered in the CLI.
[X] Keywords and parameters within brackets are optional.
x|y Keywords and parameters separated by a bar require you to choose one option.
x||y Keywords and parameters separated by a double bar allows you to choose any or all of the options.
