Conguring FEFD
You can congure FEFD on all interfaces from CONFIGURATION mode or on individual interfaces from INTERFACE mode.
To enable FEFD globally on all interfaces, use the following command.
• CONFIGURATION mode
fefd-global
To report interval frequency and mode adjustments, use the following commands.
1 Congure two or more connected interfaces for Layer 2 or Layer 3 trac.
INTERFACE mode
switchport
ip address ip address
2 Activate the ports.
INTEFACE mode
no shutdown
3 Enable FEFD globally on the switch.
CONFIGURATION mode
fefd-global {interval | mode}
Example of the show fefd Command
To display information about the state of each interface, use the show fefd command in EXEC privilege mode.
Dell#show fefd
FEFD is globally 'ON', interval is 3 seconds, mode is 'Normal'.

Enabling FEFD on an Interface
To enable, change, or disable FEFD on an interface, use the following commands.
• Enable FEFD on a per interface basis.

fefd
• Change the FEFD mode.
