To convert the above system into a dual homing setup, perform the following:
1 Repeat the steps 2 to 7 from Systems with Port Extender.
2 Physically connect a PE to System A. Connect the uplink port connections of the PE, to the VLT peers. For example, connect the
uplink ports to Te 0/0 to System A and Te 1/4 in System B.
3 Congure the PE interface through batch mode of System A.

4 Congure the cascade interface of the System B through the batch mode of System A and commit the conguration.

Once the cascade interfaces are congured, the PE starts functioning in a dual homing setup as shown in the following diagram:

You can congure PE 1 from both System A and System B.
Upgrading to OS 9.10(0.0)
To upgrade the Dell Networking OS 9.9(0.0) to OS 9.10(0.0):
Upgrade the bootash of the devices to 3.3.1.18 in OS 9.10.0.0.
Upgrade the system-image in the Controlling Bridge (CB). Select the ash partition path to boot from, then Save and Reload.
The following example shows a CB and a PE running OS 9.9(0.0):
