Applying a Privilege Level to a Terminal Line
To set a privilege level for a terminal line, use the following command.
• Congure privilege level for a terminal line.
LINE mode
privilege level level
NOTE: When you assign a privilege level between 2 and 15, access to the system begins at EXEC mode, but the prompt is
hostname#, rather than hostname>.
Conguring Logging
The Dell Networking operating system tracks changes in the system using event and error messages.
By default, the operating system logs these messages on:
• the internal buer
• console and terminal lines
• any congured syslog servers
To disable logging, use the following commands.
• Disable all logging except on the console.

no logging on
• Disable logging to the logging buer.
CONFIGURATION mode
no logging buffer
• Disable logging to terminal lines.
CONFIGURATION mode
no logging monitor
• Disable console logging.
CONFIGURATION mode
no logging console
