Setup Guide
Assigning OSPFv3 Process ID and Router ID to a VRF
To assign, disable, or reset OSPFv3 on a non-default VRF, use the following commands.
• Enable the OSPFv3 process on a non-default VRF and enter OSPFv3 mode.
CONFIGURATION mode
ipv6 router ospf {process ID}}
The process ID range is from 0 to 65535.
• Assign the router ID for this OSPFv3 process.
CONF-IPV6-ROUTER-OSPF mode
router-id {number}
– number: the IPv4 address.
The format is A.B.C.D.
NOTE: Enter the router-id for an OSPFv3 router as an IPv4 IP address.
• Disable OSPF.
CONFIGURATION mode
no ipv6 router ospf process-id}
• Reset the OSPFv3 process.
EXEC Privilege mode

Conguring the Cost of OSPFv3 Routes
Change in bandwidth directly aects the cost of OSPF routes.
• Explicitly specify the cost of sending a packet on an interface.
INTERFACE mode
ipv6 ospf interface-cost
– interface-cost:The range is from 1 to 65535. Default cost is based on the bandwidth.
• Specify how the OSPF interface cost is calculated based on the reference bandwidth method. The cost of an interface is calculated as
Reference Bandwidth/Interface speed.
ROUTER OSPFv3
auto-cost [reference-bandwidth ref-bw]
To return to the default bandwidth or to assign cost based on the interface type, use the no auto-cost [reference-
bandwidth
ref-bw] command.
– ref-bw: The range is from 1 to 4294967. The default is 100 megabits per second.
