fwupdate
NOTE: To use this subcommand, you must have Chassis Configuration
Administrator privilege.
Description
Updates the firmware on the active CMC, standby CMC, or iKVM. Also
performs updates to iDRAC firmware when the existing firmware is
corrupted.
NOTE: Running the fwupdate subcommand to update the firmware on the primary
CMC causes all Telnet and Web connections to be dropped. To monitor the progress
of the update, use the -s option. During update of all other modules, including the
standby CMC, the primary CMC continues to run normally without resetting.
NOTE: The fwupdate subcommand may only be executed on one device at a time.

Option Description
-d <path> Specifies the source path where the firmware image resides.
Default: the local directory
-g Downloads the firmware update using the TFTP server.
-u Performs firmware update operation (used with -g).
