setassettag
Description Sets the N-byte ASCII asset tag for the chassis.
To use this subcommand, you must have the Administrator privilege.
NOTE: The special characters " (double quote), ` (back quote), & (ampersand), and \
(backslash) are not supported for this subcommand.
Synopsis
racadm setassettag -m chassis <asset tag>
Input -m < module > — Species the module whose asset tag you want to set.
Legal value: chassis
You can obtain the same output if you do not include this option, because there is only one legal
value.
< assettag > is a maximum of 64 non-extended ASCII characters.
Example
• racadm setassettag -m chassis 783839–33
• racadm setassettag 783839–33
The asset tag was changed successfully.
setchassisname
Description
Sets the name of the chassis.
To use this subcommand, you must have the Administrator privilege.
NOTE: The special characters " (double quote), ` (back quote), & (ampersand), and \
(backslash) are not supported for this subcommand.
Synopsis
racadm setchassisname <name>
NOTE: Chassis name is a maximum of 64 non-extended ASCII characters.
Example
racadm setchassisname dellchassis-1
The chassis name was set successfully.root
setexaddr
Description
Enables or disables FlexAddress on a particular slot or fabric.
To use this subcommand, you must have the Chassis Conguration Administrator privilege.
If the fabric type is determined to be Inniband, the operation is canceled and the command
returns an error. If the FlexAddress feature is not activated, the command returns an error.
NOTE: The server must be turned o to change the slot state. All servers must be turned
o to change the fabric state. The MAC/WWN addresses must be managed locally (not
by an external console) to use this command.
