Dell Client Configuration Toolkit (CCTK) is a packaged software offering that provides configuration capability to Dell client systems such as OptiPlex, Latitude, and Precision. You can configure the client systems using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a Command Line Interface (CLI). CCTK can be used on Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, Microsoft Windows Pre-installation Environment (Windows PE), Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems.
The operating systems are supported in the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Open Issues and Resolutions CLI Issue 1: Description: Currently, the --enabledevice and --disabledevice options may not work in UEFI-enabled systems. Resolution: These options will work after upgrading to future BIOS releases. Issue 2: Description: If the system is not connected to Internet, Windows 7 does not recognize the digital signature validity of CCTK installation file. Resolution: Connect the system to Internet and validate the digital signature. Issue 3: Description: To upgrade CCTK 1.
Issue 10: Description: On Precision T3500, CCTK does not report the correct value of the turbomode option. Though the option is enabled, CCTK reports it as disabled. Issue 11: Description: On Latitude XT2, the busratio option does not set the argument max. Issue 12: Description: When you install CCTK on a Linux system, after installing the omilcore rpm, the following message is displayed: "To start all installed services without a reboot, enter the following command: srvadmin-services.sh start.".
Issue 3: Description: On successive attempts to invoke the CCTK GUI, the following error message is displayed: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.". Resolution: Click 'Continue' to access the GUI. Issue 4: Description: In rare circumstances, when .NET libraries may not have loaded correctly, exporting SCE gives an error message like "Unexpected Error ". This does not affect the CCTK functionality. Resolution: Issue 15: Do export again and it will be successful.
