Address Books
There are several address books available for Scan and Fax functions. Address books help
you organize contact information, such as e-mail addresses, fax numbers and server
information, and quickly choose the recipient or locate the address. The address book
data can be obtained from the printer or a remote LDAP server.
NOTE:
The local Fax Address Book for Scan to Fax Server is independent of the Address Books described in
this section. For more information, see "Scan to Fax Server".
Types of Address Books
Device Address Book
The address data is saved on the printer.
Fax Phonebook (for Direct Fax)
The address data is saved on your computer.
LDAP Server Address Book
The address data is saved on the LDAP remote server.
Adding and Editing Entries to the Address Books
There are following three ways to add or edit entries to the address books:
