NOTE:
Local and external users can be used simultaneously.
If you configure Active Directory and either NIS or LDAP, you can set up mappings between the Windows users in Active
Directory and the UNIX and Linux users in LDAP or NIS to allow one set of credentials to be used for both types of data
access.

Administrator Account
The Administrator account is used for FluidFS cluster management and provides access to Storage Manager and the FluidFS
CLI. This account cannot be removed or renamed, and has write permissions on all NAS volumes, folders, and files.
Support Account
The support account is used by technical support when accessing the FluidFS system. The support account and password are
managed by the system administrator.
CAUTION:
Operations performed as the support user are for advanced remote troubleshooting to resolve critical
system issues only. Misuse of this account can damage the FluidFS cluster and its data.
NOTE: For strict security, enable the support account just before a remote troubleshooting session and disable it
immediately after the troubleshooting session.
Enable or Disable the Support Account
Enable the support account to allow remote troubleshooting. When troubleshooting is complete, disable the support account.
Steps
1. In the Storage view, select a FluidFS cluster.
