Removing a memory module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the following:
a. Remove the system cover.
b. Removing the air shroud.
Steps
1. Locate the DIMM sockets. Push the ejectors outward on both ends of the memory module socket to release the memory
module from the socket.
2. Holding the DIMM by the edges, lift it from the socket, and store it in an anti-static package.

1. Locate the appropriate memory module socket.
2. Push the ejectors outward on both ends of the memory module socket.
3. Holding the DIMM by edges insert it into socket tightly.
