1 Complete the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
2 While booting, press F2 to start the System Setup and ensure that the processor information matches the new system conguration.
3 Run the system diagnostics to verify that the new processor operates correctly.
Expansion card and riser
An expansion card in the server is an add-on card that can be inserted into an expansion slot on the server board or riser card to add
enhanced functionality to the system through the expansion bus.
NOTE
: A System Event Log (SEL) event is logged if an expansion card riser is unsupported or missing. It does not prevent your
system from turning on and no BIOS POST message or F1/F2 pause is displayed.

Depending on your system conguration, the following PCI Express (PCIe) generation 3 expansion cards are supported:
