\New FTOS Version 8.4.2.8 Information
FTOS Version 8.4.2.8 incorporates software branding changes, support for PPID codes in the software, and
includes some PR resolutions (Resolved E-Series TeraScale 8.4.2.8 Software Caveats). No new features
have been introduced in this release.

E-Series Software Upgrade Procedures
E-Series systems are shipped with an FTOS image already loaded. With the following procedures, you can
upgrade your current FTOS image to the latest FTOS image. This section also includes the procedures for
upgrading the FPGA and the Boot Code.
To complete the upgrade successfully, perform the following procedures in the following order. Steps
required, or not required, for this release are identified.
