API Guide

In MX platform, SFS provides:
A single pane of glass to monitor and manage the lifecycle operations on the IOMs.
APIs to manage VLT fabric, data uplinks, storage uplinks, and server templates for the entire fabric.
In a Dell EMC PowerEdge MX7000 infrastructure, the MX9116n fabric engine and MX5108n Ethernet switch support SFS.
SmartFabric Services for leaf and spine
SFS discovers the OS10 switches and builds a L2 or L3 network fabric using industry-standard L2 and L3 protocols. SFS forms a
cluster of OS10 switches belong to a domain. A domain is a LAN segment on which all the OS10 nodes are accessible. All the
OS10 switches must be on the same domain for the cluster to form. SFS provides APIs including managing fabric, node
inventory, fabric operations, server and onboarding storage devices. SFS provides APIs for collecting discovered servers and
storage device inventory.
