Configuration guidelines
When configuring different modes; for example, F_Port, NPG, or FSB, consider the following:
F_Port, NPG, and FSB modes are mutually exclusive. You can enable only one at a time.
You can enable the mode-specific commands only after enabling the specific feature.
Before you disable the F_Port and NPG features, delete the mode-specific configurations. When you disable FSB, the system
automatically removes the configurations.
NPIV Proxy Gateway cascading
OS10 supports connecting two switches as NPIV Proxy Gateways (NPIVs) between Converged Network Adapters (CNAs) or Fibre
Channel Host Bus Adapters (FC HBAs) and FCoE Forwarder (FCF) switches.
In the following figure, NPG1 and NPG2 connect to each other which provide FCoE and FC services for CNA1 and FC HBA1, and the FCF1
switch.
