STP
The default STP mode for
Dell EMC Networking N-Series
switches is
RSTP. VLANs cannot be configured to contain both MLAG ports and non-
MLAG (non-redundant) ports. RSTP, MSTP, and STP-PV/RSTP-PV are
supported with MLAG. The following STP configuration parameters must
be the identical on both MLAG peers.
– Spanning-tree version (RSTP, MSTP, or RSTP-PV)
– Bpdufilter
– Bpduflood
– Auto-edge
– TCN-guard
– Cost
– Edgeport
– STP Version
– MSTP or RSTP-PV VLAN configuration
– MST instance configuration (MST instance ID/port priority/port
cost/mode) if MSTP is configured
– Root guard
– Loop guard

Port-channel interface
The following port-channel attributes must be identical for MLAG port-
channels:
– Port-channel mode
– Link speed
– Duplex mode
