Configuring the DHCP Server (CLI)
This section provides information about the commands used for configuring
and monitoring the DHCP server and address pools. For more information
about the commands, see the Dell EMC Networking N1100-ON, N1500,

Configuring Global DHCP Server Settings
Use the following commands to configure settings for the DHCP server.
Command Purpose
configure Enter Global Configuration mode.
service dhcp Enable the DHCP server.
ip dhcp ping packets Specify the number, in a range from 2-10, of packets a
DHCP server sends to a pool address as part of a ping
operation.
ip dhcp conflict logging Enable conflict logging on DHCP server
ip dhcp bootp
automatic
Enable the allocation of the addresses to the BootP client.
ip dhcp excluded-
address lowaddress
[highaddress]
Specify the IP addresses that a DHCP server should not
assign to DHCP clients. A single IP address can be
specified, or a contiguous range can be specified by using
both the low-address and high-address variables.
exit Exit to Privileged Exec mode.
show ip dhcp global
configuration
Verify the global DHCP server configuration.
