1144 Routing Interfaces
Default Routing Interface Values
By default, no routing interfaces are configured.
When you create a VLAN, no IP address is configured, and DHCP is disabled.
After you configure an IP address on a VLAN or loopback interface, the VLAN
interface is available for layer-3 routing (if enabled) and is capable of resolved
ARPs and responding to pings, and the interface has the default configuration
shown in Table 30-1.
Most interface configuration parameters are not applicable to loopback
interfaces, so the default values cannot be changed. However, when a
loopback interface is created, the default values are similar to those of VLAN
routing interfaces, as Table 30-1 shows.
When you create a tunnel, it has the default values shown in Table 30-2
