Syntax
ipv6 pim rp-candidate vlan vlan-id group-address/prefixlength [interval
c_rp_interval ]
no ipv6 pim rp-candidate vlan vlan-id
vlan-id A valid VLAN ID value.
group-address The group address to display.
prefixlength This parameter specifies the prefix length of the IP address
for the media gateway. (Range: 1–128)
c_rp_interval—The Candidate RP advertisement interval (range 1-16383
seconds, default 60 seconds).
Default Configuration
The router does not advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point by
default.

The default interval for a Candidate Rendezvous Point (C-RP) to send C-RP
Advertisement messages to the Bootstrap Router (BSR) is 60 seconds.

console(config)#ipv6 pim rp-candidate vlan 6 ff1e::/64
ipv6 pim sparse-mode
Use the ipv6 pim sparse-mode command to administratively configure PIM
sparse mode for multicast routing. This command also enables MLD. Use the
no form of this command to disable PIM and MLD.
