Enable multipathing on an ESXi host with SAS volumes
Perform the following steps to enable multipathing on the ESXi host with SAS volumes:
1. Log in to the VMware vCenter Server, then click the ESXi host.
2. On the Configure tab, select Storage > Storage Adapters.
3. Select the SAS HBA and click Rescan Storage.
The Rescan Storage dialog box opens.
4. Click OK.
5. Select the Dell EMC disk that was added to the ESXi host in Register a Linux host with SAS HBAs and create and map

The Edit Multpathing Policies dialog box opens.
8. Select a multipathing policy for the volume from the Path selection policy drop-down list and click OK.
NOTE: The VMware multipathing policy defaults to Most Recently Used (VMware). Use the default policy for a host
with one SAS HBA that has a single path to both controllers. If the host has two SAS HBAs (for example, the host
has two paths to each controller), Dell EMC recommends that you change the multipathing policy to Round Robin
(VMware).
9. Repeat steps 58 for each SAS volume that is attached to the ESXi host.
