set enclosure
Description Sets an enclosures name, location, rack number, and rack position. Set these parameters to values
that help you identify and locate the enclosure. These values are used when user interfaces show
enclosure-related data, such as in output of the show enclosures command and in event-log entries
related to enclosures

set enclosure
[name new-name]
[location location]
[rack-number rack-number]
[rack-position rack-position]
enclosure-number
Parameters
[name new-name]
Optional. A new name for the enclosure. Input rules:
The value is case sensitive.
The value can have a maximum of 20 bytes.
The value can include spaces and printable UTF-8 characters except: " , . < \
A value that includes a space must be enclosed in double quotes.
[location location]
The location of the enclosure. Input rules:
The value is case sensitive.
The value can have a maximum of 20 bytes.
The value can include spaces and printable UTF-8 characters except: " , . < \
A value that includes a space must be enclosed in double quotes.
[rack-number rack-number]
The number of the rack containing the enclosure, from 0 to 255.
[rack-position rack-position]
The enclosures position in the rack, from 0 to 255.
enclosure-number
The enclosure ID.
