Installing a hard drive blank

Prerequisite

Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.

CAUTION

: Mixing hard drive blanks from previous generations of XC Series servers is not supported.

Step

Insert the hard drive blank into the hard drive slot, and push until the release button clicks into place.
