4.7.2 Enabling or Disabling the Brocade FA-PWWN
NOTE: The Emulex OneCapture™ utility has been renamed as the Emulex HBA Capture utility.
NOTE: The following information pertains to FA-PWWN:
This feature is not available for LPe12000-series adapters.
The Brocade FA-PWWN and trunking features are mutually exclusive. You can enable either FA-PWWN or
trunking, but not both.
D_Port and FA-PWWN cannot be enabled simultaneously. When you enable or disable Brocade FA-PWWN,
D_Port is disabled automatically. D_Port can only be reenabled using the Emulex HBA Manager application.
Neither FA-PWWN nor Dynamic D_Port can coexist with the trunking feature (also called FC port aggregation)
on LPe35000-series adapters. If trunking is enabled, the firmware automatically disables FA-PWWN and
Dynamic D_Port.
This option enables or disables the Brocade FA-PWWN. The default setting is disabled.
To enable or disable the Brocade FA-PWWN select, perform these steps:
1. From the main configuration menu (Figure 2), select Configure Adapter Firmware Parameters and press Enter.
The adapter firmware parameters configuration menu is displayed (Figure 21).
2. Select Enable or Disable Brocade FA-PWWN and press Enter.
The Brocade FA-PWWN window (Figure 24) is displayed.
