Field Description
Read-only community name Adds, modies, or deletes community names. A community name is a password that allows
a management console access to group conguration and management data.
You can specify up to 5 names, and each name can be up to 64 ASCII characters long.
Names cannot contain the following characters: space, tab, comma, pound sign (#).
NOTE: SAN Headquarters requires you to congure access to a group.
The Manual Transfer Utility (MTU) requires you to specify public as the community name.

Field Description Shortcut
Enable web access Enables or disables administrator access to Group Manager through the web
interface. To run Dell Virtual Storage Manager for VMware (formerly ASM/VE),
enable use of the GUI for group administration.
Alt+W
Allow only secure
connections
Species if administrators must use a secure connection when connecting to the
GUI
Alt+A
Enable telnet access Enables or disables CLI access through a telnet connection Alt+T
Enable SSH (secure
shell) access
Enables or disables CLI access through an SSH connection Alt+S
The CLI provides additional options for managing network services. Using the CLI, you can also enable or disable SSH v1 protocol
support or the FTP service. For more information, see the Dell EqualLogic Group Manager CLI Reference Guide.
Access Policies Panel
The Access Policies panel is where access policies and policy groups are created. These policies can be assigned to volumes using
the adjacent Targets panel.

Field Description
Access Policy Groups
Access Policy Groups Contains a list of all available access control policy groups.
The "+” sign next to a policy name indicates that you can expand it to view the access
policies and access points that make up the group.
New Creates a new access policy group
Modify Opens the currently selected group for editing
Delete Deletes the currently selected access policy group. When prompted, click Yes to conrm.
