Field Description

NAS container

Name Container name, from 1 to 229 characters plus underscores. The name must begin with a

letter or underscore, and cannot include a space or begin with a number.

Shared directory

Path prex Species the initial path for users folders:

• /Domain/User – The users folders take the form initial_path/domain/user_name.

• /User – The users folders take the form initial_path/user_name.

Folder template Opens a dialog box that allows you to browse the directory and select an existing folder or

create a new folder.

Automatic home folder creation

Enable automatic home folder

creation

When enabled, SMB home shares are automatically created. (This feature is disabled by

default.)

Access-based enumeration

Enable Access-based Enumeration When access-based share enumeration is enabled, if a given user or group does not have

share-level permissions for a particular SMB share, that share, along with its folders and

les, will not be visible to the user or group.

When access-based share enumeration is disabled, the SMB share, along with its folders

and les, will be visible to users and groups regardless of whether they have permissions for

that SMB share.
