Title Field Description Shortcut
General settings
Domain Active Directory domain to which you want to add the NAS cluster.
Use the fully qualied domain name (for example,
mydomain.company.com), not the NetBIOS domain name.
The Active Directory domain name accepts up to 63 characters,
including underscore, hyphen, and period. Fewer characters are
accepted for this eld if you type the value as a Unicode character
string, which takes up a variable number of bytes, depending on the
specic character.
Alt+D
User name Domain administrator name to use for joining the Active Directory
domain.
The user name can contain up to 511 characters. Fewer characters are
accepted for this eld if you type the value as a Unicode character
string, which takes up a variable number of bytes, depending on the
specic character.
Alt+U
Password Password for the domain administrator. The password can contain up
to 63 ASCII characters.
Alt+P
Conrm password Retype the password to conrm it is correct. Alt+C
Preferred domain controllers
Domain controllers (Optional) Name of the primary domain controller. This option is useful
if your environment has multiple domain controllers. This name accepts
ASCII characters.
Alt+M
Add Opens the Add domain controller dialog box, where you can enter an
IP address for the domain controller
Delete Deletes the selected IP address
Up Moves the selected IP address up in the order of importance
Down Moves the selected IP address down in the order of importance
