Account type
Local user account Account authentication occurs within the group. The default administration account,
grpadmin, is a local account created automatically when the group is rst
congured.
Alt+L
Active Directory user Congures an authorization entry to allow an Active Directory user access to the PS
group
Alt+U
Active Directory group Congures an authorization entry to allow all members of the Active Directory group
administrative access to the PS group
Alt+G
General settings
Account name Unique account name up to 16 ASCII characters, including period, hyphen, and
underscore. The rst character must be a letter or a number. The last character
cannot be a period.
For Active Directory accounts, names can be up to 511 ASCII characters. If you
select an Active Directory user or group:
AD user – Field changes to User name and shortcut is Alt+N
AD group – Field changes to Group name and shortcut is Alt+N
Alt+A
Check name Veries the name in Active Directory. Available when Active Directory user is
selected.
Alt+C
Browse Browse the groups in Active Directory. Available when Active Directory group is
selected.
Alt+B
Password Password for the account must be between 3 and 16 ASCII characters. Punctuation
characters are allowed, but spaces are not.
NOTE: Only the rst 8 characters entered are used; the rest are ignored
(without a message).
Alt+P
Conrm password Conrms the password for the account Alt+C
Description (Optional) Description can be up to 127 characters. Fewer characters are accepted
for this eld if you type the value as a Unicode character string, which takes up a
variable number of bytes, depending on the specic character.
