NAS Conguration Window
The NAS Conguration window, which appears after you run the Congure NAS Cluster wizard, shows the progress of the
NAS cluster conguration. The rest of the group remains operational while the NAS cluster is being congured. When the
conguration succeeds, the progress window displays a success message.
During the NAS cluster conguration, you might see the following message: Status of 0 is failed. Status of 1 is
failed. You can disregard this message.
When the conguration is complete, the progress window provides links for performing the following NAS cluster conguration
tasks:
Setting the SMB administrator password, which clients use to access the SMB shares that you create
Conguring Active Directory for external authentication for Windows clients
Displaying information about the NAS cluster conguration
Creating NAS containers, where SMB shares and NFS exports reside

Capacity Size of the NAS container

Used space alert Percentage of space that you can use before generating an alert
Container usage graphic Graphical representation of the NAS container space utilization
Snapshot Space
Snapshot reserve Percentage of NAS container space assigned to snapshot reserve.
If data reduction has been enabled on this container, snapshot reserve is permanently
removed from this NAS container, and this value is not applicable.
Capacity Size of snapshot reserve
Total used Used snapshot reserve space
Used snapshot space

Snapshot space Displays the snapshot reserve size, used snapshot reserve space, and the percentage of
space that you can use before generating an alert
