Total space savings Total NAS reserve space saved on the NAS container through data reduction
NAS SAN Panel
The SAN panel is on the Network tab of a member page. This panel displays the status of the SAN in an FS7500 controller.
NOTE: In FS7600/FS7610 appliances, this information appears on the SAN/Internal panel.

Field Description
Interface Client interface identier, such as eth0
Subnet mask User-assigned subnet mask of the client interface
Status Status of the client in the member:
On — Network is operational, connected to a functioning network, congured with an
IP address and subnet mask, and enabled.
O — Network is not operational, not connected to a functioning network, or not
congured with an IP address or subnet mask.
Not available — This status displays only in the CLI.
Speed Speed of the network interface
MTU size Maximum transmission unit (MTU) size, which is the largest physical packet size that the
interface can transmit. This value is given in bytes. Typically, the size is 9000 bytes for
iSCSI network interfaces.
DCB
State of data center bridging (DCB) on this interface:
On — DCB is available. Multiple protocols can be run on this interface.
O — DCB is not available.
Slot Slot through which the network connection is available, such as 1 or 2
Port Port ID number identies which physical receptor the interface is mapped to
Duplex Type of duplex mode being used:
half — Half-duplex is being used. Half-duplex uses one wire pair. When using half-
duplex Ethernet, signals can collide because data transmissions ow in both directions
over a shared pair of wires.
full — Full-duplex is being used. Full-duplex uses two wire pairs. Full-duplex Ethernet
connections work by making simultaneous use of two physical pairs of twisted cable
(which are inside the jacket), where one pair is used for receiving packets and one pair
is used for sending packets (two pairs per direction for some types of Ethernet), to a
directly connected device. This setup eectively makes the cable itself a collision-free
environment and doubles the maximum data capacity that can be supported by the
connection.
Full-duplex provides point-to-point connections between transmitters and receivers,
meaning transmitted data is sent on a dierent set of wires than received data. This
collision-free environment allows for faster data transfer rates.
unknown — The type of duplex being used could not be determined.
Flow control Flow control supports lossless transmission by regulating trac ows so that frames are
not dropped during periods of congestion. Flow control stops and resumes the
