Title Field Description
Client network settings
VLAN tagging Supported during the create and modify processes only. The default ID will be 0, providing
for backwards compatibility. Enter a number of 1–4094.
Netmask Subnet to which the NAS cluster IP address belongs
Default gateway IP address of the default gateway, which enables the local network to interface with
another network
Advanced client network settings
Bonding mode For the client network, the default bonding mode is ALB, which requires no special switch
settings and allows optimal load balancing using fewer NAS cluster IP addresses
MTU size Maximum transmission unit (MTU) size for the client network.
NOTE: Set the MTU size to a minimum value of 9000 bytes if you are using jumbo
frames in your client network environment.
NAS cluster IP
Addresses
NAS cluster IP addresses. The number of NAS cluster IP addresses depends on whether
the client network is routed and the client network bonding mode.
Member IP Addresses Lists the client network IP address for each NAS controller

Field Description Shortcut
General properties
Name Name can be up to 63 bytes and is case-insensitive. You can use any printable
Unicode character except for ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , / ; < = > ?@ [ \ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~.
First and last characters cannot be a period, hyphen, or colon. Fewer characters are
accepted for this eld if you type the value as a Unicode character string, which
takes up a variable number of bytes, depending on the specic character.

Description (Optional) Description of the partner up to 127 characters, such as its location.

Storage Pool Displays the storage pool that the clone will appear in (cannot be changed; the clone
