Field Description Shortcut

Group name Name of the partner group. Group names are case sensitive. The group name can

contain a maximum of 54 ASCII characters including hyphens. The rst character

must be a letter or a number.

Alt+M

Group IP address IP address of the partner group (for example, 12.16.22.123). No wildcards are

accepted in this eld.

Alt+I

Description (Optional) Description of the partner, such as its location. Description can be up to

63 ASCII characters.

Alt+D

Name (Optional) Name of the replication partner administrator. This name can contain up

to 63 ASCII characters, including spaces.

Alt+A

Email (Optional) Email address of the replication partner administrator. This name can

contain up to 63 ASCII characters, including spaces.

Alt+E

Phone (Optional) Telephone number of the replication partner administrator. Alt+P

Mobile (Optional) Cell phone number of the replication partner administrator. Alt+L

Field Description Shortcut

Inbound password Password used by the partner for authentication to perform replication with this

group. On the local group, the inbound password must match the outbound

password on the remote partner. If these passwords do not match, replication fails.

For NAS partners, this password is required and can contain up to 64 case-sensitive

alphanumeric characters. For PS Series-only partners, this password is optional and

can contain up to 254 case-sensitive alphanumeric characters.

Alt+P

Outbound password Password used by the local group for authentication to perform replication with the

remote group. The outbound password on the local group must match the inbound

password on the remote partner. If these passwords do not match, replication fails.

For NAS partners, this password is required and can contain up to 64 case-sensitive

alphanumeric characters. For PS Series-only partners, this password is optional and

can contain up to 254 case-sensitive alphanumeric characters.

Alt+O

You must select at least one type of replication service. This step is only seen when a NAS cluster has been congured on the

PS Series Group.
