Field Description Shortcut

General properties

Name Displays the name of the volume that is being congured for SyncRep. (The name

cannot be modied.)

Alt+V

Description (Optional) Enter a description for the volume. The description can be up to 127

characters. Fewer characters are accepted for this eld if you type the value as a

Unicode character string, which takes up a variable number of bytes, depending on

the specic character.

Alt+D

Storage Pool Lists available pools to be used for the SyncAlternate volume. None

NOTE: You cannot enable synchronous replication on a volume for which traditional replication is congured, and you

cannot enable traditional replication on a volume for which synchronous replication is congured.

Total replica reserve

(percent of replica

volume reserve)

Sets a percentage of the volume reserve to allocate for replication. The minimum

value is 105 percent.

Alt+T

Local replication reserve

(percent of volume

reserve)

Sets a percentage of the volume reserve to delegate to sharing with the partner for

temporary use. The value can be 5 to 200 percent.
