Group administrator (all
permissions)
Can perform the same tasks as the grpadmin account, except for updating member
rmware or fetching diagnostic les using FTP.

Can view information about all group objects except NAS clusters, but cannot
change the group conguration.

Pool administrator
(manage only selected
pools)
Can manage the volumes, members, snapshots, and other objects in any pools for
which the account has authorization. Pool administrators can also view information
about all group objects if given read access, except for NAS clusters.

Volume administrator
(create/manage owned
volumes in selected
pools)
Can view information only for pools and volumes to which they have access and
manage their volumes and snapshots. For security purposes, the volume
administrator has a limited view of group and pool conguration settings and cannot
view information, such as the SNMP community name or event log, that might
enable them to gain additional access. Volume administrators cannot view NAS
clusters.

Pool access
Pool name Lists the available pools. You can select pools only when a pool or volume
administrator is the selected account type. Only a volume administrator can have
quotas assigned to them.

Additional access
Read access to a group When you select the account type to pool administrator, you can select to enable or
disable the read access to the group. If disabled, the pool administrator cannot view
information about all group objects.

Access to save
diagnostics
When you enable Access to save diagnostics, users can also perform diagnostics
collection, even if they have a read-only account..
Access to save cong When you enable Access to save cong, users can perform save-cong operations,
even if they have a read-only account.

Field Description
Select the partners that this volume
administrator can use for replication.
Select the partners that you want to allow the volume administrator to use. This option is
available only for volume administrators.

Name (Optional) Contact name for the account, up to 63 characters. Fewer characters are
accepted for this eld if you type the value as a Unicode character string, which
takes up a variable number of bytes, depending on the specic character.
