Field Description Shortcut
Single user Applies a quota limit to a specic user. Alt+S
Each user in the group Applies a quota limit to each user in a group. A per-user quota that is applied to each
user in a group. The total of all of the per-user quotas assigned within the group
cannot exceed any group quota that is assigned to that group.
Alt+E
Group total Applies a quota limit to an entire group. A group quota is shared by all users in a
group. NAS has no limit on the portion of this quota that an individual user can use.
Alt+G
NOTE: You will not be able to make multiple selections as part of this process. If you want to apply quota settings to
multiple users, groups of users, or entire groups, you must set each quota separately.

Field Description
User/Name User or group name to which the quota applies
Type Type of user or group: Windows, UNIX, or Local
NOTE: To disable a quota, set the quota size and warning limit to 0.

Field Description Shortcut
Quota size Maximum space available to the user, each user in a group, or the collective group. A
value from 1 to the maximum amount of NAS container space the user or group can
use. Size can be in megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB), or terabytes (TB).
Alt+Q
Warning limit Percentage of the storage space that must be used before the NAS cluster noties
users they are nearing their quota limitation. The group might enforce a soft limit
that is within 1 percent of the specied quota. For quotas smaller than 100MB, the
dierence will be greater than 1 percent.
Alt+W

Field Description
Copy Copy contents of the Summary page to the clipboard. Use this copy to save the
information in a text le, such as Notepad, for future reference.
