Table Of Contents
Title Field Description
The table at the bottom of the panel shows how space is being used for the
pool selected in the table above.
Replica Set Placement Initial replica set
placement by storage
pools
Displays the current placement mapping between the source pools and the
destination pools. The last row of the list contains an asterisk if a mapping has
not been specied. It is blank if a mapping is invalid.
Add Adds a placement mapping between the source pool and the destination pool.
Modify Changes the placement mapping between the source pool and the
destination pool.
Delete Deletes the placement mapping between the source pool and the destination
pool.
You cannot delete the default mapping (the one with an asterisk as the
source pool). Also, deleting a custom mapping causes the relevant source
pool to revert to the default mapping, and deleting a mapping has no eect
on any existing replica sets. (The previous mapping continues to apply to new
replicas that are added to existing replica sets.)
Validate primary pool
names(shortcut: Alt+V)
Secondary system attempts to contact the primary system to conrm that
the specied pools exist. (The system does not verify the names
automatically because the primary system might not be accessible.)
NOTE: Placement mapping is not guaranteed in the following circumstances:
If you later change the names of the pools or merge the pools on the primary site — Placement is not updated
automatically to reect these changes; the default mapping applies.
The setting is for the initial placement of a replica set — Replica sets stay in the destination storage pool even if the
volume in the primary site is moved to another pool or you change the name of the primary pool.
