Field Description Shortcut
Bonding Mode Bonding mode for the client network. The default bonding mode is ALB, which
requires no special switch settings and allows optimal load balancing using fewer
NAS cluster IP addresses. You must stop the NAS cluster before you modify the
bonding mode. Modication can occur only during a Modify operation.
If you modify the client network conguration and change the bonding mode to
LACP, which supports automatic, transparent network interface failover, you must
set special switch settings across the switch stack.
If you change the MTU size, clients are disconnected. In most cases, the clients
reconnect automatically.
Alt+O
MTU Size Size of the maximum transmission unit (MTU) for the client network.
NOTE: You must stop the NAS cluster before you can modify the client
network MTU size.
NOTE: You must set the MTU size to a minimum value of 9000 bytes if you
are using jumbo frames in your client network environment. Otherwise, the
client network defaults to 1500 bytes.
