New Access Policy Group Dialog Box
This dialog box denes a new access policy group and lets you select the access policies that are to belong to the group. New
access policies can be created here and subsequently assigned to the group.

Field Description Shortcut
Name Enter a descriptive name for the new access policy group. The name can contain up
to 31 ASCII characters, including letters, numbers, hyphens, and periods. Letters are
not case-sensitive.

Description (Optional) Enter a description for this access policy group, up to 127 ASCII
characters.
Alt+D
Access Policies Lists the individual access policies that have been selected to be part of the access
policy group. This list is empty until you create your rst access policy.

Add Adds access policies to the group or creates new access policies that can be
assigned to the group. The checkbox next to each access policy name indicates
whether it is part of the current policy group. To remove an access policy from the
group, clear the associated checkbox.

Modify Enables you to edit the name, description, or access point properties of the
currently selected access policy.

Remove Deletes the currently selected access policy from the Access Policies list. When
prompted to conrm the deletion, click Yes.

New Basic Access Point Dialog Boxes
Specify a basic access point, which allows a single host to connect to the selected volume.

Description Description for the new access point, up to 127 ASCII characters None
CHAP account name Restricts access to computers that supply the specied CHAP user name and its
associated password (or “secret”). The credentials must match a local CHAP
account or a CHAP account on an external RADIUS server.

iSCSI initiator name Restricts access to iSCSI initiators that match the specied name (for example, iqn.
2000-05.com.qlogic.qla-4000.sn00044).
Alt+S
IP address Restricts access to iSCSI initiators that match the specied IP address (for example,
12.16.22.123). Use asterisks to indicate that any value is accepted in an octet (for
example, 12.16.*.*).
Alt+I
Access point applies to Volumes and snapshots — Indicates that the selected policies provide access to
both the volume and its snapshots.
Volumes only — Indicates that the selected policies provide access only to the
volume.
