Use the Storage Container panel to create, modify, or delete storage containers. The Storage Container panel shows a table of all
currently dened storage containers and their properties.
Table 517. Storage Container Panel
Field Description
Total containers Number of dened storage containers
Total physical size Total of all the physical space amounts for all storage containers
Total logical size Total of all the logical space amounts for all storage containers
Storage container Name of the storage container
Storage pool Name of the storage pool associated with the storage container
Physical space Amount of space on the array or group that is actually allocated for the storage container.
Space that is shared between volumes, templates, and clones are counted only once.
Physical free Amount of unused physical space
Logical space Amount of logical space allocated for the storage container. The logical space is equal to
the nominal size of the volume, clone, or snapshot, which disregards sharing relationships
and thin provisioning.
Logical free Total amount of unallocated logical free space that can be used by the storage container
VVols Identies the number of virtual volumes associated with the storage container
When you click on the name of an existing storage container, the view shows the following details for that storage container:
General Container Information. See General Container Information.
Container Space. See Container Space Information.
