Table Of Contents
Field Description
Storage pool Storage pool where the volume is located
Reported size Reported size of the volume in MB, GB, or TB. The group rounds up volume sizes to the
next 15MB if the size is not a multiple of 15MB. You cannot change the reported size of a
template volume.
Snapshot reserve Indicates the amount of snapshot reserve for each volume as a percentage of the volume
reserve
RAID preference RAID conguration for the volume; automatic indicates that the RAID conguration is the
same as that of the pool containing the volume.
The RAID preference can have one of the following statuses:
Honored — The requested RAID preference has been applied to the volume.
In-Progress — The volume is being converted to the requested RAID preference.
Oversubscribed — The size of the volume exceeds the available space of any group
members running the preferred RAID level. The requested RAID preference has not
been applied to the volume.
Not available — No group members are running the preferred RAID level; the
requested RAID preference has not been applied to the volume.
Temporarily Unknown — An internal operation is in progress and the RAID status
cannot be determined. After the operation is completed, the status is displayed.
Load balancing Indicates whether load balancing is enabled
Access type Read-write or read-only. A volume can have read-only or read-write permission, unless it is
a template volume, which must be read-only.
Shared access Shared (multihost access) or not shared
Sector size Either 512 bytes or 4K bytes. The logical sector size assigned to a volume does not depend
on the sector size used by the physical drives on the array. For example, a volume can use
4K-byte logical sectors even if the physical drives on the array use 512-byte sectors.
Table 548. Space
Field Description
Volume Name of the volume
Status Indicates whether a volume is online or oine. An iSCSI initiator can only discover or
connect to an online volume.
Storage pool Storage pool where the volume is located
Reported size Reported size of the volume in MB, GB, or TB. The group rounds up volume sizes to the
next 15MB if the size is not a multiple of 15MB. You cannot change the reported size of a
template volume.
Volume reserve Actual amount of pool space that the group allocates to a volume. The value of the volume
reserve depends on whether you enable thin provisioning on a volume:
If thin provisioning is disabled, volume reserve is equal to the reported size.
If thin provisioning is enabled, volume reserve is equal to or less than the reported size,
depending on volume usage and the thin-provisioning settings.
Free space Unused space on the volume
Snapshot reserve Amount of space, based on a percentage of the volume reserve, that the group allocates
to snapshots
