Figure 108. Packet Drop Rate for WRED
You can create a custom WRED prole or use one of the ve pre-dened proles.
Table 52. Pre-Dened WRED Proles
Default Prole Name Minimum Threshold Maximum Threshold Maximum Drop Rate
wred_drop 0 0 100
wred_teng_y 467 4671 100
wred_teng_g 467 4671 50
wred_fortyg_y 467 4671 50
wred_fortyg_g 467 4671 25
Creating WRED Proles
To create WRED proles, use the following commands.
1. Create a WRED prole.
CONFIGURATION mode
wred-profile
2. Specify the minimum and maximum threshold values.

Applying a WRED Prole to Trac
After you create a WRED prole, you must specify to which trac the system should apply the prole.
The Dell Networking OS assigns a color (also called drop precedence) — red, yellow, or green — to each packet based on it DSCP
value before queuing it.
DSCP is a 6–bit eld. Dell Networking uses the rst 3 bits of this eld (DP) to determine the drop precedence.
DP values of 110, 100, and 101 map to yellow; all other values map to green.
