Storm Control
Storm control is supported on the MXL switch platform.
The storm control feature allows you to control unknown-unicast and broadcast trac on Layer 2 and Layer 3 physical interfaces.
Dell Networking OS Behavior: The Dell Networking OS supports broadcast control (the storm-control broadcast
command) for Layer 2 and Layer 3 trac. The minimum number of packets per second (PPS) that storm control can limit is two.
Congure Storm Control
Storm control is supported in INTERFACE mode and CONFIGURATION mode.
Conguring Storm Control from INTERFACE Mode
To congure storm control, use the following command.
You can only congure storm control for ingress trac in INTERFACE mode. If you congure storm control from both INTERFACE
and CONFIGURATION mode, the INTERFACE mode congurations override the CONFIGURATION mode congurations.

Conguring Storm Control from CONFIGURATION Mode
To congure storm control from CONFIGURATION mode, use the following command.
You can congure storm control for ingress trac in CONFIGURATION mode. Do not apply per-virtual local area network (per-
VLAN) quality of service (QoS) on an interface that you have enabled storm-control (either on an interface or globally).
