To prevent a router from participating in protocol independent multicast (PIM), configure this feature.

Syntax
ip pim neighbor-filter {access-list}
To remove the restriction, use the no ip pim neighbor-filter {access-list}
command.
Parameters
access-list Enter the name of a standard access list. Maximum 16 characters.
Defaults none

Information
Do not enter this command before creating the access-list.
ip pim query-interval
Change the frequency of PIM Router-Query messages.

Syntax
ip pim query-interval seconds
To return to the default value, use the no ip pim query-interval seconds
command.
Parameters
seconds Enter a number as the number of seconds between router query
messages. The range is from 0 to 65535. The default is 30 seconds.
Defaults 30 seconds
