ipv6 pim rp-address
Configure a static PIM rendezvous point (RP) address for a group. First-hop routers use this address to
send register packets on behalf of the source multicast host.
Syntax
ipv6 pim rp-address address group-address group-address mask
override
To remove an RP address, use the no ipv6 pim re-address address group-
address
mask override command.
Parameters
address Enter the IPv6 RP address in the x:x:x:x::x format.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal
fields of zero.
group-address
group-address
mask
Enter the keywords group-address then the group address
in the x:x:x:x::x format and then the mask in /nn format to
assign that group address to the RP.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal
fields of zero.
override Enter the keyword override to override the BSR updates
with static RP. The override takes effect immediately during
enable/disable.
NOTE: This option is applicable to multicast group range.
