validate-reply (IPv4 only) Enter Y or N for reply validation.
N: Do not validate reply data.
Y: Do validate reply data.
Default is No.
pattern pattern (IPv4 only) Enter the IPv4 data pattern. Range: 0-FFFF.
Default: 0xABCD.
sweep-min-
size
Enter the minimum size of datagram in sweep range. The
range is from 52 to 15359 bytes.
sweep-max-
size
Enter the maximum size of datagram in sweep range. The
range is from 53 to 15359 bytes.
sweep-interval Enter the incremental value for sweep size. The range is from
1 to 15308 seconds.
ointerface (IPv4 only) Enter the outgoing interface for multicast packets.
Enter the IP address in A.B.C.D format.
For a Port Channel, enter the keywords port-channel
then a number. The range is from 1 to 128.
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.
For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE then the slot/port information.
For a VLAN interface, enter the keyword vlan then a
number from 1 to 4094.

Usage
Information
When you enter the ping command without specifying an IP address (Extended
Ping), you are prompted for a target IP address, a repeat count, a datagram size (up
to 1500 bytes), a timeout (in seconds), and for Extended Commands. For
information on the ICMP message codes that return from a ping command, refer
to
Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Message Types.
