Removing the keyboard

Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the memory modules.
4. Remove the speakers.
5. Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane memory module.
6. Remove the wireless card.
7. Remove the graphics-card fan.
8. Remove the processor fan.
9. Remove the heat sink.
10. Remove the power-adapter port.
11. Remove the coin-cell battery.
12. Remove the touchpad.
13. Remove the hard drive (optional).
14. Remove the I/O board.
15. Remove the display assembly.
16. Remove the system board.
17. Remove the power button with fingerprint reader.
Procedure
1. Remove the 19 screws (M1.2x2) that secure the keyboard bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
2. Remove the 21 screws (M2x3) that secures the keyboard bracket and keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.
3. Lift the keyboard bracket off the palm-rest assembly.
