Removing the optional Type-C module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the side cover.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the optional Type-C module and provides a visual representation of the removal
procedure.
Steps
1. Remove the two (M3x3) screws that secure the Type-C module to the computer chassis.
2. Disconnect the Type-C cable from the connector on the system board.
3. Disconnect the DP cable from the video cable connector on the system board.
4. Lift and remove the Type-C module from the system.
Installing the optional Type-C module
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
