Removing the heat sink
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the side cover.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the heat sink and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
1. Loosen the four captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board.
NOTE: Loosen the four captive screws in descending order (4,3,2,1) as printed on the heat sink.
2. Lift the heat-sink away from the system board.
