Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft Management Console

Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft includes a Console virtual machine (VM) that you can use for management purposes

• VMM console

• Operations Manager console

• DPM Administrator console

The following tools are also available:

• SQL Server Management Studio

• Hyper-V Manager

• Failover Cluster Manager

• Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) console

By default, Remote Desktop is enabled on the Console VM.

To manage Windows Azure Pack, you can connect from a web browser on the Console VM.

Windows Azure Pack

With Windows Azure Pack (WAP), you can oer rich, self-service cloud IaaS services. With the Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft

solution, you can easily provision and oer virtual machines and VM roles for your users. All components needed for IaaS through the

Virtual Machine Cloud resource provider are already installed, with the required integration already congured.

WAP enables you to oer IaaS services to your users through a self-service cloud. For more information, see Windows Azure Pack for

Windows Server on Microsoft TechNet.

Runbooks

Runbooks are Windows PowerShell scripts that provide automation. You can run them either through the Windows Azure Pack

management portal for administrators, or from an elevated Windows PowerShell session on the Console VM.

System Center Data Protection Manager (optional)

The Dell Hybrid Cloud System for Microsoft uses System Center Data Protection Manager (MS DPM) for protection, with the option to

also back up from MS DPM to Microsoft Azure.
