Initiating the SOL Proxy Session
To connect and use SOL Proxy:
For Windows 2003:
To start the SOL Proxy service on a Windows system after installation, you
can reboot the system (SOL Proxy automatically starts on a reboot). Or,
you can start the SOL Proxy service manually by completing the following
steps:

Right-click
My Computer
and click
Manage
.
The
Computer Management
window appears.

Click
Services and Applications
, and then click
Services
.
Available services are displayed to the right.

Locate
DSM_BMU_SOLProxy
in the list of services, and right-click to
start the service.
Depending on the console you use, there are different steps for accessing
SOL Proxy. Throughout this section, the management station where the
SOL Proxy is running is referred as the SOL Proxy Server.
For Linux Enterprise Operating Systems:
The SOL Proxy will start automatically during system startup.
Alternatively, you can go to directory
/etc/init.d
and use the following
commands to manage the SOL Proxy service:
solproxy status
dsm_bmu_solproxy32d start
dsm_bmu_solproxy32d stop
solproxy restart
