3. /boot/grub/grub.conf または /boot/grub/menu.list ファイルを編集して、SOL の起動オプションを追加します。
a.  各種の UNIX 系オペレーティングシステムで、グラフィカル表示行をコメントアウトします。
¡  splashimage=(had0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz（RHEL 5 の場合）
¡  gfxmenu (hda0,5)/boot/message （SLES 10の場合）
b.  最初の title= ... 行の前に次の行を追加します。
# Redirect OS boot via SOL (SOL 経由での OS 起動のリダイレクト)
c.  最初の title= ... 行の後に次のエントリを追加します。
SOL リダイレクト
d.  最初の title= ...:の kernel/_ 行の後に次のテキストを追加します。
console=tty1 console=ttyS0,115200

メモ： Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 での /boot/grub/grub.conf は /boot/grub/menu.list へのシンボリックリンクです。どちらの設定も変更できます。
